Academy Council

My wife Hannah and I moved to Dilton Marsh 4 years ago to settle down with our family. My eldest has just started at Dilton Marsh Primary school and I hope that his younger brother and sister will follow over the next 2 years. I am a Weapons Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy Submarine Service and have served for 17 years.  Last year I left a nuclear submarine based in Scotland where I was head of the Weapons Engineering Department, to start a new role in the Navy’s Operational Headquarters in London.  Prior to this I worked in the Ministry of Defence in the Defence Nuclear Organisation.  My background is engineering, however I have recently completed a post graduate diploma in strategic leadership and management as a precursor to progressing onto an MBA next year.  I’m very excited to join as a parent governor and give back something to a community that has been so welcoming. 

Mrs Jude Clements is Headteacher at Dilton Marsh C of E Primary School.

Jude has been in primary education for the past 27 years and has been in senior leadership for 10years.

Her passion is to see every child thrive and reach their full potential within a school family where they are valued, embraced and truly belong.

She lives in Bath and in her spare time enjoys a walk in the surrounding countryside.

I grew up in Dilton Marsh, moving away for university and work, and recently coming back to Wiltshire with my family. My eldest is at Dilton Marsh School and loves it. I currently work part time in IT, and part time farming – a nice variation, especially when the weather is highly unpredictable!
